Case Study: Religious Assistance to Muslim Inmates
The case study, in dialogue with studies published mostly at an international level, in the field of psychological and social sciences, aims to investigate the issue of religious assistance to Muslim inmates in prisons, focusing on the territory of southern Italy, and Sicily in particular, which has been less investigated at a scientific level. The specific objective is to investigate what meanings are attributed to this function both by prison operators (i.e. the different figures working in the prison context) and by religious operators themselves (Muslims and others).
